The Story

6H, Pocket First RLDS edition, printed in Lamoni, Iowa. Reprinted from the third American edition. Unique binding.

Description

The 1874 edition of the Book of Mormon (RLDS) was published by the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, now known as the Community of Christ. This edition reflected the RLDS Church’s commitment to preserving what it believed to be the original text as dictated by Joseph Smith. Unlike editions used by the LDS Church, the RLDS version maintained earlier punctuation and formatting, with fewer editorial changes. Printed in Lamoni, Iowa, this edition played a key role in distinguishing RLDS doctrinal identity and scriptural interpretation during a formative period of the movement.

Notes

Black pebbled black leather, gold tooling on front, toning to paper, intact, rubbing on four corners, white stain on top front cover, intact, overall good condition.
