This document gives Juan Carlos de Benavides, of Cordoba, Spain the authority to act as "Alguacil Mayor" (Chief Justice) on behalf of the Spanish Inquisition. This document is handwritten on a vellum parchment. The symbol of the Inquisition is at the center top and on both sides, in brown ink, which is the symbol of the Dominican Order. The signatures of three Inquisitors and seal are at the bottom of the document. (31.5 cm X 42.5 cm).
