The New Testament Syriac is an early translations of the Christian Scriptures into Syriac, a dialect of Aramaic widely spoken in the Near East during the first centuries CE. The most significant of these translations is the Peshitta, which became the standard Bible for Syriac-speaking Christians by the 5th century.
